OK, so I'm a little steamed by all the regressive taxation going on right now in the U.S., and I'm just a little bit pissed that the democrats have ALLOWED the message of health-care reform and genuine equality of opportunity measures to be hijacked by inaccurate information.
OR
Why not tax the F**king rich jag-offs for health care?
BTW I am not trying to make this a flame, but have just spent the last 22 hours in a care stuck driving screaming 4 y.o.'s from FL. to CT., therefore this article may appear to have been written by a 4-yo too.
OK, so here it is the wonderful year of 2009. I helped get Pres. Obama elected to President, b/c he was going to help with the income gap and help get a Universal Health-care system started in the U.S. I remember his words in Iowa and New Hampshire that he was going to allow private citizens to opt-in to the SAME freaking health care plan as HE Had as a U.S. Senator. Man I was moved, and I knocked on doors. This was a man who was going to get it to happen.
But....well.....no
Turns out that the latest idea is to get a system like Mass. has, you know the one which s**ts on low income workers who don't have a job which gives them health care, and who can't afford the now even more unaffordable health-insurance rates. Yeah that messed up corrupt system works so great, why not give it to all us poor schleps?
Hey, for that matter lets bring back into discussion how when a doctor sends you for 8,000 needless tests it's for your own good---not lining that scumbag doctors pockets with stolen cash. Yeah, doctors aren't the biggest creeps on the planet right now, I mean when my dad got his knee bruised up and wanted something to ease the pain a bit the doctor really needed to order that MRI on it. I mean who knows something might have shown something...it didn't...but that's not the point. The point is that the rich and the doctors are your friends.
So congrats Mr. Pres., thanks for duping me into believing that you were any different from every other politician on the face of the planet. I mean really you have something called a bully pulpit, not the freaking PANSY pulpit. Why not point out that systems with Single payer pay on average 10% of GDP, instead of the 20% we spend. Why not point out that their length of life and health of life statistics are higher?
But nah don't do that someone might get upset at you, and we wouldn't want that.
Oh and lets pay for this piece of dog excrement legislation by taking poor schmoes even more. I mean hey why not. I mean I'm middle class I get taxed (including my local, state, and federal) taxes at the low rate of of probably around 45% with all of the tolls, sales taxes, property taxes, income taxes, and hidden excise taxes. So why not tax my employer provided health care? I mean my health care is so awesomely affordable, it only has a $10,000 deductible for me and my family, but hey that's plenty low with our family income at $90,000 of which half goes by by to taxes.
SO sure give those AIG guys their bonuses, I mean that piece of legislation that would have taxed them 90% died in committee.
Congratulations President Obama, you are taking from the poor to give to the greedy, crafting legislation that will make every place in the U.S. like San Fran, L.A., NYC, and Boston.....e.g places where the middle class has been booted out. Places where only the poorest of poor and the richest of rich live. Oh well I guess I'm the sucker for believing that you could actually deliver to the middle class. I guess I was the idiot for believing you when you promised me and the electorate that you wouldn't raise taxes on people who made less than $250,000 a year. Shame on me for having hope that you would be willing to change this messed up system where powerful industry lobbyists hijack every conversation, and drive out truth with noise.
Please President Obama, please I am tired of living in a country where every year the income gap gets wider and wider. I am tired of living in a country that spends 10 times more on guns than it does to educate. I am tired of living in a country that allows people to be swindled by banks and then punishes those who were swindled while rewarding the swindlers. I am tired of living in a country that promises genuine reform but only makes toke efforts. I am tired of living in a country where people are scared to go to the doctor because they may end up one of the over one-million THIS YEAR that will go bankrupt as a result of medical expenses. Please help sir. Please stand up to those who distort reality. Focus the light of truth on the conversation regarding health care.
