The state owned British broadcasting service Panorama program produced a documentary that is so shocking, that it has never been aired on American television. In fact some would argue that it will never be aired on American television, because it would be too shocking for the American people to see how the rest of the world views them as living under the barbarism of a tyrannical for-profit health care system. Through the magic of YouTube, for the first time you can see America the way the world does in this 30 minute, 3 part documentary.
Generally speaking, Youtube will cycle automatically through all 3 of the 10 minute segments of the video but parts 2 and 3 of the video may also be accessed manually at the links below.

A brief transcript of the video is that you start out in a parking lot at 4AM and it's dark. Under sub-zero temperatures, people are starting to line up and they're lining up for free health care for the uninsured. You get a sense of fear in the air and the desperation of poor people not knowing a way out. At that point we are introduced to Jessica Moberly, a 27-year-old mother of five who has 3 types of cancer and needs a liver transplant but can't get one because Jessica is poor. She does however leave the clinic with at least a pair of new eye glasses. This is helpful because she is almost blind now in one eye.
As we watch the video, we can start to understand how it is that some 23,000 Americans die every year just because they don't have insurance. We can also understand why it is that President Obama is having a hard time getting the help of Congress to fix our messed up American health care system. Because only 2 out of the 535 members of Congress do not take money from the health care lobbyist industry.

This BBC Panorama documentary is a startling view as to how the rest of the world views the regressive American health care system. This view is not normally available to Americans and therefore the video is must-see TV!
