Usain Bolt of Jamaica, did it a again; by running the first sub 9.6 second 100 meter dash ever, Sunday night in the world Track and Field Championship (approximately 3:50 pm, eastern, US time) at the site of Jesse Owens Gold Medal Performance in the 1936 Olympics, in Berlin Germany.
Simply Amazing!

For those who think Bolt may dope, watch the ESPN Video, via the story link below. That should answer much of the question/speculation by some here. Bolt owns Junior World Records in the 200M, at ages 15, 16 and 17 yrs old, that still haven't been broken. He was a freak of nature as a teenager, long before he could of been involved in any doping.
Now knowing this; can we please be careful with our speculation. There has been no "whispers" from the track community about Bolt, like there has been, with other athletes in the past.

FYI: Bolt will run the 200M race, this upcoming Tuesday (and I suppose the 4X100 Meter relay, as well).
I wrote this diary, because we Kossacks, have been so involved in the Health Care debate lately (and rightfully so); I thought this would be a good diversion/distraction, that truly reminds us the limits (or infinite limits) of the Human Being as a species and spectacular athlete/performer. Bolt was phenomenal.
If we remember when bolt shattered the world record, last August in Beijing (with a then eye ball popping 9.69), he celebrated the last 20 meters of the race, and many people speculated, "boy he could run a 9.58 possibly, if he would just run the race straight through). We'll; Bolt did did not celebrate at the end like he did in the olympics; but he still didn't run the race straight through. He actually glanced over his right shoulder at Second place finisher, American Tyson Gay (who ran a personal and North American best, 9.71) and the clock over his right shoulder, while approaching the finish. incredible! Jamaica's Asafa Powell, finished third with a 9.84 time.
You can't make this stuff up!
Bolt, who is now called the third most popular athlete in the world and rising, behind Tiger Woods, and British Footballer, David Beckham; had actually talked about running a 9.58 last year after the Olympic WR of 9.69, and a sub 19 second 200M (which he hasn't run yet at the Berlin World Championship) in December 2008, to the Telegraph of London. Here's the title of the article;
Usain Bolt targets 9.58secs in 100m
Jamaica's triple Olympic champion Usain Bolt believes he can take the 100 metres world record down to 9.58 seconds and go below 19 seconds in the 200 metres.
And here's the text, discussions/predictions:
"I've heard my coach (Glen Mills) talk of 9.58 seconds as a possible time (in the 100m) and I believe him," the 22-year-old told La Gazzetta dello Sport after being named the Italian daily's male sports personality of the year.
"He also said that it could be possible for me to go under 19 seconds in the 200m. Glen knows what he's talking about and I believe him."

Wow! What an athlete and how high can this guy go? How high can he set the bar (or is it actually "how low can he go", like Chuck D, and Public Enemy once said); 9.55, 9.52, 9.5, or a sub 9.5? The guy is only 23 years old, and he still holds the 200m world record, and will set his sights on the 400M as well (which many people think is/will be his best race, ultimately, with his 6.5" frame). This guy may already be the best of all time at his craft. Unbelievable!
PS: It's only fitting that Tyson Gay performed so well (though he lost). Because as a point of reference, this was the first time an American performed in Berlin, since the 1936 Olympics, when Jesse Owens, etc. won.
I posted a better BBC video above with commentary, crowd reaction and former Superman, himself, world 200m record holder Michael Johnson's excitement/bewilderment
Not sure what this language is; but it's a 10min video. But excitement translate in any language.
Best/clearest long video I saw so far(not in English):
I think Slugga posted this non-English one below to.
