Why does the right get away with it when criticizing and insulting a Democratic President? But when the left criticizes a Republican President they are smacked down? Is this our national double standard?
If anything negative was ever said about George W. Bush or his policies his supporters blamed his critics as being unpatriotic or traitors. "Love it or leave it," that refrain from the 60's, was also used.
But why doesn't anyone today call out the rabble rousers at town hall meetings and rallies and tell them the same thing: "Love it or leave it"?
If people call the President a Nazi or a Socialist -- which clearly they don't understand -- are they being unpatriotic or traitorous?
The traditional media and the pundits have double standard. The right can say things the left can't.
Remember when Dick Durbin had to apologize for comparing interrogators at Guantanamo to the Nazis?
But has anyone apologized for comparing our President to the Nazis? Why is it that the right gets away with this stuff?
