Oh, how excited Matt Drudge & Michelle Malkin were this week!
They uncovered another hidden secret plot to indocrinate millions of school kids into actually liking our president. And were happy to blast links to a video showing kids singing a song that had the gall to celebrate our U.S. President!
Why is this bad? Of course, because Barack Obama is black, a Democrat, and, as we all know, a socialist communist nazi ... SHOCK!
So now that Fox News uses the incredible in-depth news reporting capabilities of Michelle Malkin, Andrew Breitbart and amateur conservative goof-offs, what do we end up with as news stories on Fox News?
Why, of course, a snippet of a video of kids singing praises of our nation's first black president! OH, THE HORROR! Now, songs about St. Ronnie Reagan would get the school a big shout-out as the most patriot school in the nation by Fox News, et al ...
See more after the jump of why this is so silly ...
Now, just like when the right-wing hyperventillated about Obama actually wanting to speak to kids,I am sure that this will be taken seriously by all our MSM and the press.
I'm just waiting for the Jake Tapper and Ben Smith blog entries about how the right-wing has scored another BIG POLITICAL VICTORY!
But what is the reality here?
Turns out, when you switch off the volume from screamers like Malkin & Drudge, the kids were singing a song written by a proud black teacher for Black History Month.
Also, it was a tiny part of a show that also included songs about Mardi Gras and St. Patrick's Day.
Here is the reply from the school that sponsored the show with songs about many current event:
Dear Burlington Township Families:
Today we became aware of a video that was placed on the internet which has been reported in the media. The video is of a class of students singing a song about President Obama. The activity took place during Black History Month in 2009, which is recognized each February to honor the contributions of African Americans to our country. Our curriculum studies, honors and recognizes those who serve our country. The recording and distribution of the class activity were unauthorized.
If you have any further questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me or Dr. King, Principal of B. Bernice Young School, directly.
Sincerely,
Dr. Christopher M. Manno
