Yesterday, sheltered from the pounding rain in his boat Capt. Kip Marquize tells us why this disaster couldn't have happened at a worse time for the fishermen and shrimpers of the Gulf Coast.
In this video Captain Kip Marquize explains that the shrimping season is just about to get underway. This means that the fisherman and shrimpers just dumped their last bit of savings into prepping their boats for the season. For the most part, they have just enough money left until the first catch sells. Now, with no catch, there is no money to pay the bills that will come later this month. Had this happened sooner, folks wouldn't have spent money on repairs, and had this happened later in the season, they'd have had enough money to carry them for a few months. This is literally the worst possible time for this to happen to the fishing community.
