Don't let the BastardsRepublicans) win! We must pick one Democrat and vote for him/her in Saturday's special Election. The Republicans have their talking points all set to go! You know, this was Barack Obama's district this is a referndum on Barack Obama, The democrats policies suck, etc.
We just cannot let this happen, if we pick on democrat and stick to it through the whole day, we will surely win this seat; So lets PICK one Tonight, and go with it.
Any Hawaiian's on the site tonite that wants to weight in, please do!

Seeing how Neil Abercrombie will be Governor in November, he has had to retire his seat, and this is what we have, a special election.
Anyways, Here is the article that puts everything into perspective:
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/...
And here are the rules- according to wiki:
The election will be held without a primary, meaning all candidates from all parties will run against one another and the person with the most votes (even if only a plurality) wins; there is no runoff.[4] With three top-tier candidates running, two Democrats and one Republican, it is likely that the two Democrats could split the vote leading to a Republican victory.[4]
The election will be conducted as a Vote-By-Mail election.[3] All registered voters as of the voter registration deadline will automatically be mailed a packet containing the Vote-By-Mail ballot and return envelopes.[3] No polling places will be open on May 22, 2010.[3] Ballots will be mailed approximately 20 days prior to the election.[3] Voted ballots must be received by the State of Hawaii Office of Elections no later than 6:00 p.m., May 22, 2010 in the return envelopes provided.[3]
Any voter requiring the use of an accessible voting machine may do so at the Office of the City Clerk, Honolulu Hale, 530 S. King St. from Monday, May 10, 2010 to Thursday, May 20, 2010, excluding Sundays and holidays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.[3] Walk-in voting will be open on Saturdays during this period.[3]
Self explanatory, now all we need is a candidate, forget the cemantics, you know, why didn't the dems come together, why didn't the two Hawaiian dem senators back off their endorsements, etc. It is what it is, now pick a DEMOCRAT and lets win this thing and keep the winning streak alive>
PEACE
