What!?
If Scott Brown voted in favor of a bill that saved puppies from drowning, the tea party would be for it... that is unless it was proposed by President Obama, in which case they would foam at the mouth and hypocritically protect Wall Street against reform.
The tea party is riled up over Scott Brown's vote on financial reform because he sided with President Obama.
Let's look at what the Democrats sided with when George E. Bush was President; The Patriot Act, deregulation, the Iraq War, Warrant-less Wiretapping, the Bush Tax Cuts, all with the approval of a few blue dog Democrats.
The Democrats gave George W. Bush a blank check on just about any project he wanted to do, and after eight years of George W. Bush policies, the nation needs reform. Now the tea partiers, who did not raise a finger against Bush, are doing everything in their power to stop President Obama's agenda from taking place.
I do not agree with President Obama on everything. Cap and Trade will not stop carbon emissions, and his response to the oil spill has been dreadful. It is not that Democrats do not challenge President Obama, but we do not try to stop positive legislation like health care and financial reform.
The fact that the tea party has turned on Scott Brown for voting to reform Wall Street should show the American people that the only thing the tea party "stands for" is stopping Obama at every turn, and I mean every turn.
They are irrelevant and never deserved the spotlight the media placed on them. The fact that they put Wall Street before main street by opposing Wall Street Reform should demonstrate that they are to the far right of the rest of the populous.
Take note, America. This tea party is being led by the Mad Hatter.
