Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's husband, Martin David Ginsburg, a prominent attorney in his own right, has passed away.
Martin Ginsburg, the husband of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and a prominent lawyer in his own right, has died. He was 78.
The Supreme Court says in a statement that Ginsburg died at home Sunday from complications of metastatic cancer.

After graduating from Cornell and Harvard Law School, Ginsburg went on to be honored by the American Bar Association with it's "Tax Section's Distinguished Service Award", as well as having a chair endowed in his name at the Georgetown University Law Center, among other awards.
Besides the Justice, Mr. Ginsburg is survived by a daughter, Jane, and a son, James.
