BREAKING: War on Error and BarkingCat have press passes to the event. What would you like us to ask?
Kossacks plan to meet at the Rally on the left side of the reflection pool as you face the Lincoln Memorial. Look for those wearing orange.
Friday night (and maybe Saturday) we will meet at Union Station. Hop the Red line. We are going to meet between 6 and 9 pm at a place called The Center Cafe in the Main Hall.
Pics and details here in FrankCornish's diary.
Insider news: There WILL be a huge media presence. CSPAN will broadcast as will FreedomTV.
DiegoUK's sponsoring efforts were a huge success.
Can still find a ride, other happenings, etc. below:
ACTION IDEA:
EVERYONE, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Using your cell phone recorders, interview people and ask
Why have you attended the rally?
and/or
What message do you have for Congress?
Then upload to you tube with 10.2.10 Rally in the title so they will come up when people do a youtube search.
It would be great for others to hear what real people have to say, instead of those not real people (snark).
BREAKING NEWS:
On Saturday, Oct. 2, the Metrorail system will open at 6 a.m., one hour earlier than usual, and operate additional Blue Line service to accommodate the large crowd expected to attend the One Nation Rally on the National Mall. The organizers for Saturday’s event have paid Metro in advance for the early opening and additional rail service.
To help get everyone to the rally, Metro will operate additional Blue Line trains between 7 and 11 a.m. and again from 4 to 8 p.m.
Crowded conditions are expected on all rail lines with the largest crowd expected on the Blue Line heading downtown from the Largo Town Center, Stadium-Armory and Pentagon Metrorail stations.
People attending Saturday’s rally are encouraged to spread out all through the downtown area and use several Metrorail stations, including the Metro Center, Gallery Pl-Chinatown, L’Enfant Plaza, Archives Navy-Memorial-Penn Quarter, Federal Triangle, Smithsonian and Foggy Bottom Metrorail stations. For those driving to Metrorail stations to begin their trips, parking is free at Metro-operated parking lots and garages on weekends.
Metro encourages rally participants to purchase a SmarTrip card or a round-trip farecard before entering the rail system on Saturday to avoid long lines at the fare vending machines.
People traveling to the rally on the Red, Yellow or Green lines should add 30 minutes of additional travel time because of scheduled track maintenance. On the Red Line, trains will share one track between the Shady Grove and Twinbrook Metrorail stations and between the Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood and New York Ave-Florida Ave-Gallaudet U Metrorail stations. On the Yellow and Green Lines, trains will share one track between the between the Mt. Vernon Sq/7th St-Convention Center and U St/African-Amer Civil War Memorial/Cardozo Metrorail stations.

From what I have read here, I think there will be a LOT of Kossacks there on Saturday.
Some of traveling from Washington state, California, Utah, England, Germany, and all the states within 12 hours of DC.
Still waiting for the speaker roster. We can comfortably assume that the leaders of Unions and NAACP will speak. We know Ed Schultz will speak. Whether or not Big Bird will be there is anyone's guess. Probably not. A bit of comic relief.
YOU MIGHT STILL BE ABLE TO FIND A RIDE. Check it out.
For DC Metro/Free Weekend Metro Parking Information, click here.
There are Rally, GOTV, Voter Registration, etc. events planned across the country on 10.2.10. Find one here.
And, if you are attending the rally
Please do not litter and maybe even pick up and toss any trash you see when leaving.
If anyone disruptive drops by, take pics/videos!! Don't engage; however. On a positive note, let's be open for detractors to not show out of respect for our right to peacefully assemble.
ACTION ITEM:
- If you are not attending, and have some time tomorrow, could you copy/paste info in this diary and repost for those who might miss this updated information?
- Let's have a toast at 7:00PM EST Friday and Saturday evenings. Enthusiasm ignition! All systems go! GOTV.
Thank you.
AND, HE'S BACK! What could we do with a REAL majority in Congress. These are historical times. The media is beating up the Democrats. The Tea Baggers get way too much attention.
BUT, WE ARE NOT LOSING.
Even uber conservative Wall Street Journal Poll had good news for us today.
No comfort there. WE ARE IN THE FIGHT FOR THE QUALITY OF OUR LIVES.
We can gain a true Congressional majority. And then, watch us transform this country:
