Republican former Rep. Rob Simmons is still crying about Chris Dodd's retirement.
Research 2000 for Daily Kos. 1/11-13. Likely voters. MoE 4% (No trend lines)
Senate 2010

Simmons (R) 35
Blumenthal (D) 56
McMahon (R) 34
Blumenthal (D) 56
Schiff (R) 33
Yeah, not much to see here. Whether against the former rep, pro-wrestling mogul Linda McMahon, or teabagger Peter Schiff, there's not much of a race.
Dems also have big leads in the governor's race. Ironically, Susan Bysiewicz ran best for the Democrats, with 20-point leads, but she quit the governor's race to run for Richard Blumenthal's attorney general instead. But we also polled Ned Lamont and Dan Malloy, and they both have double-digit leads over their possible Republican challengers (though under 50 percent).
As we always do when we poll Connecticut, we also asked about Lieberman. In a hypothetical two-way matchup with Democratic Rep. Chris Murphy:
Lieberman (I) 26
Murphy (D) 45
Lieberman is in his last two years in the Senate. Really, the only drama is whether he makes me sad and retires, or he lets the voters of Connecticut do the retiring for him.
