...and it couldn't have come at a worse time.....for the media.
The story I can almost guarantee you nobody is going to report today is a new AP poll showing Obama's numbers holding strong at 56%. Don't pay attention to the WaPo headline in this link as I'm sure everyone is familiar with how WaPo rolls. Desperately looking for the negative spin yada yada business as usual.

Of course that poll is totally off script from the story the press wants to manufacture..errr tell today. They would much rather discuss how 'Dems are in disarray' and 'Obama's presidency is in trouble' because of the Massholes.
Sure enough as I type this MSNBC is reporting a NBC poll putting Obamas numbers at 48%. Now that is more like it eh??? LOL! Of course, after looking at it more closely I see MSNBC is only highlighting the negative parts. Gosh, what a surprise.

I don't know what context the questions MSNBC asked vs the AP poll are. The important part is this is the same AP poll as used a month ago so it is a good trend indicator I suppose.
Just another day in the media echo chamber fantasy land. Trying to fill time and sell advertising space.
Uh-oh, another bump in Obama's approval rating; that's not a story the Beltway press wants to tell, cont'd

Boy, talk about being off-script. Today is supposed to be the day for the press to wallow in the collapse of Obama's first term; to pronounce his presidency a failure in light of the Massachusetts defeat Tuesday night.
But wouldn't you know it, the AP goes and releases a poll that shows Obama enjoying a robust 56 percent job approval rating. Technically, that's not a bump, since the same AP poll had Obama at 56 percent last month as well. But the results are certainly good news for Obama, considering that 56 percent practically doubles the approval rating of Obama's predecessor during his second term. That 56 percent also puts Obama comfortably ahead of where Ronald Reagan was at this juncture of his first term, and just about where Bill Clinton stood 13 months into office.
But that's not the story the press wants to tell, so look for the AP results to get scant coverage. Because as we've seen for months now, only the polls that show Obama's popularity declining are deemed to be truly newsworthy.

For a little more context, here is the poll of polls that also confirms Obama's numbers are up overall.
