Let's call this something of a political rorschach test:
For those who can't see the clip, it's a split screen from last night's debate between Chris Coons and Christine O'Donnell. Coons starts talking about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, how we've spent $1.3 trillion on those wars, how it's added to the national debt...
...and then O'Donnell does her best "OMG! Soooo gross!" freak out laugh. Coons then continues to talk about how we've lost 5,000 American soldiers and O'Donnell, well, continues to laugh.
Is she laughing at the concept that wars are expensive and do, indeed, add to the national debt? Is she laughing at the deaths of American servicemen and servicewomen? Is it both? Is she just an insensitive moran with the compassion of a gnat?
Short diary, I know - but I'm down with the flu and one wonders about these things while looking yearningly outside the window at a crisp fall day.
