I really cannot stand Blanche Lincoln. She is the worst kind of faux Democrat. Some time ago I committed to not vote for her in the general election no matter what. I even wrote a diary called What Do we Do About Blanche? back in February in anticipation of the conundrum I am presently faced with. But then I started having second thoughts. Considering the hooplehead that is running against Blanche here in Arkansas, maybe I could find a way to support her after all. Or could I?
The very day that I began having thoughts about possibly going ahead and voting for Blanche in the general election came the news that she is now planning to fight to help make sure that all of the millionaires and billionaires get to keep their tax cuts. And this makes perfect sense doesn't it? I mean, everyone knows how chocked full of millionaires the state of Arkansas is, right? What, is she going to win over a thousand people? Um, no. Those people are already Republicans.
WTF was Obama and Bill Clinton doing down here meddling in our freaking primary anyway? That was a total clusterfu*k and I just don’t get it. Blanche has never voted for anything of substance that Obama has put forward and she has been promising to continue that trend during her campaign. And for all of that, she gets rewarded with endorsements from the party leadership? Obama and Clinton gave this worthless turd of a senator just enough of a bump to all but guarantee that we lose this seat in the general and we are supposed to be okay with it.
Then, there is the big-eared hooplehead that is Blanche's opponent, John Boozman. He will fit right in with the most extreme Republicans in the senate (think Jim DeMint). We are in for some real crazy once he gets in the senate and I am sure that he will be much worse than Blanche. So, once again I have to ask, what should I do about Blanche?
I realize that it probably doesn’t matter because she is all but toast anyway, but I hate to see another crazy Republican get elected to the senate. Still, if I vote for Blanche and she gets elected, we are probably going to be stuck with her for another election cycle after yet another six years of her crap. Damn, it sucks to have to vote in this race.
Well, I don’t know if a Green Party candidate is running in this race or not, but I am thinking of voting for whoever that might be or just not voting at all in this particular race. I absolutely will not vote for a knuckle-dragging Republican, but I think that Blanche is going to have to win this election without me.
What say you?
