Barack Obama's conciliatory press conference will go down in history.
No fight.
Want to work with Republicans.
Finally, GOT IT, on the economy.
A total sum, a damn shame.
President Obama can continue to want to work with Republicans, but guess what POTUS, they don't want to work with you.
Then he compares himself to Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton. The problem with this is that he is not either and this is a different time.
If Barack Obama believes the Republicans will work with him, I got a house on the Pacific Ocean to sell you. The Republicans HATE Barack Obama. Those good old white boys were SHOCKED that an African American won that office. That is why they are aligned, together to destruct this presidency and send Obama home in 2012.
But how the President did not get the economy and jobs out here is unbelievable. Totally, unbelievable. This goes back to my earlier diary when I stated that whoever is responsible for keeping their ear to the ground about the American Public, FAILED this President. Barack Obama acted like he just GOT IT, that it was the economy and the joblessness. This alone is un-fucking-believable.
The afternoon after the Republican Party took back control of the House of Representatives, President Barack Obama addressed the nation from the White House, speaking somberly about the takeover. "Some election nights are more fun than others," he said.
Obama said Tuesday's results confirmed what he's heard from voters across the country: people are frustrated. He said the lesson of election was that he hasn't made enough progress in creating jobs.
Where is the leadership? The Obama White House has FAILED this President, totally.
And yes, Obama did fail the American Public. We put him in office to do one thing, but he turned and did something else. Thus the shellacking the Democratic Party got last night and a historic shellacking at that. Not an usual losing of seats, but the public repudiated the Obama and Democrats Agenda. Don't get it twisted. An agenda, remember, that was never EXPLAINED along with leadership and vision to the country. This press conference was PAINFUL.
So, totally he is willing to negotiate just about ANYTHING.

And the count for the House: 239 - Republican, 185 Democrat
That is NOT a natural shift, that is an "I hate what you are doing or have not done, shift..."
Soon to be Speaker Boehner on repealing the monstrosity of a health care bill. Does that sound like they want to work with any Democrats?
Expect the rich folks to keep their tax cut, it is called, "negotiating"...
