At the arraignment he pled not guilty. I asked how his foot was after Lauren's head brutally attacked it.
Video coverage from the event:
Find it here.
P.S. we were so scary he had to request a police escort ;-)
UPDATE:
Sorry if this was a little skimpy guys, was trying to do some of this from my Droid and that's less than preferable.
Here's the run down:
This was an arraignment the sole purpose of this was to inform Profitt legally that he had been charged with a crime. I went up to the 2nd floor in the district court and attempted to ID him while not bringing too much attention to myself or partner in crime who was shooting video as well.
We spotted him with his wife and didn't want to pull our cameras out just yet fearing we'd spook him. The reporters asked a few questions as you can see in the first video.
I love the shock on his attorney's face as I blindside him with my question about her head attacking his foot.
Inside the courtroom it was super boring and we weren't permitted to film anything (contempt of court can carry 180 days in jail). Since he had an attorney and our society generally favors those who can afford more they were brought forward pretty quickly (I'd say within 15 min of the start of the hearing) he was read the charges, his attorney entered a plea of not guilty and then another hearing date was set for December and they headed for the door.
Then we got this(can't embed for some reason, getting code error):
Then this:
While the regular press backed off we stayed on his tail, I love how he requested a police escort:
A Fayette County Sheriff escorts him out of the court house, by neither of us covering this event planned on following him:
