Hello fellow Dkos family. We are now thrust upon the gallant day of November 2 of 2010. This is a wonderous and beautiful event. If you have not voted yet, I urge you to vote.
I love my country. I love the great states of Michigan and Florida. I love the Land of Lincoln. And now, after many years, I am a proud independent, voting blue.
But what Is up with the West?
Could it be a last Bastion of the True Independents? God midterms! Oh, btw, did you hear Texas may pick up 4 congressional seats? And Alaska, thank you. A clean and sustainable energy policy may be ndin the balance, and you are awesome. Talk it out.
Stay tuned to see whether even the Independent states trending blues can call for Civil Order.
Calling all pollsters! Why ARE traditional Republican districts going blue this year?
First on. It’s West Virginia. A beautiful state. A gem of America, if I may say so. Why is this State trending blue? Well, may Tennessee’s smoky blue mountains and West Virginia Hills trend blue. As they do.
And another good surprise.
(Stop full out. Twenty-first Century Gag Order. But Word Up. Five hundred years from now, our President will be historic. And there is not one thing that any member of the Republican party can remotely possibly entirely do about it.) That bad. WAY bad. Better than bad.
The news is good. This election is so big and so historic. We are retaining the Senate because we are still a Republic!
(Kinda ironic, huh?) So, that's what the Republicans are fighting agsinst? Their own best interest. It’s a whole new world.
Now it’s your turn to decide. Now for the down=low.
What's this election sbout?
How you hold loved ones dear.
No less.
It is your right to vote. Vote blue again I say, where you can, upholding principle. We do have respect and dignity toward one another. We, as our beloved United States of America, have a rich and deep history in family and patriotic duty.
What is a patriot? A human being. Ready to take Responsibility for our actions.
Do not forget. Voting Democrat means good energy policy and a healthy environment and everybody should have a shot at decent healthcare (such as cancer research), and proper land and resource use, especially water. Just keep fighting the good fight.
Tomorrow. For many of you! We vote.
For you, my friends and for our troops, I salute your courage and integrity. God bless.
So that’s the way it was, November 2, 2010.
