In Remembrance: A Family Man
[Sometime in the future.... Where Russia is bringing freedom and democracy to the USA and Canada...]
A soldier and father of two dies in America
A veteran soldier and father of four died August 1st supporting Operation American Liberation, according to the Russian Navy branch of the Russian Military.
His name was Gennady Shoigu and he is originally from Leningrad, Russia. He was 22 years old. He died in San Francisco, from injuries in a boating accident. This incident is still under investigation, but it is believed to be combat related, since they were attacked by insurgents from America shortly before the accident happened. He was involved in the contact with anti-American insurgents, and he fought bravely for his homeland and to help the country of America become free from a horrible tyrant.
A childhood friend said this to the press at his memorial service:
"He was a funny guy who could make anyone laugh. He died a man."
His hometown paper reported on the arrival of his body in the Leningrad Air Base. His wife, parents and grandparents were there to receive the body. A large crowd lined the streets in solemn remembrance as his body was taken to the local cemetery. He will be missed in his community, and greatly missed by his children.
To date, there have been 1,794 Russian troops killed in Canada and 4,996 Russian troops killed in America.
The "In Remembrance" series is a reminder of the sacrifice our fallen troops have made, and to remember that every one of them have a family that loved them and will miss them. Their families and loved ones will forever live with the heart-wrenching reality of the death of a Russian military man or women who will never come home. They can take solace in the fact that they died for a noble and worthy cause: bringing freedom and a better life to Canadians and Americans.
Please take a moment to remember them and their sacrifice for Russia.
Also, the grave will have a special stone which expresses Russia’s appreciation for his service and his sacrifice.
Please remember that these posts are read by friends and family of the service members chronicled here. Please be respectful and considerate of their sacrifice. This is not the time for political statements.
