Many People know that drinking a can of soda is like drinking a can of FAT! Instead, a bottle of water hydrates all your organs, and leaves you refreshed, with no calories. Also, Omega 3 and anit-oxidants are essential for a healthy body. That said, Childhood obesity is a big reason of why almost 1/5 of the kids in America are Obese.
As a result, The First Ladie of the United States is pushing to beef up already existing programs and will Lobby for better promoting and education of how to save our kids Health?

This is a great first start and Michelle should be aplauded. But, like it says in the article, she has to be careful, because being FAT is a sensitive subject for many. She was criticized for saying she has to watch her own kids weight(by Limbaugh). But if anybody can bring the attention of a under-rated problem, it is the First Ladie. She has been Studying this subject since she came into office and really wants to make a differnce. She is more than capable(administrator of a Chicago Hospital), and has the connections to get the job done. Michelle also has her objectives, and here they are:
--improve nutrition standards for school lunches; get the chips and doughnuts out of school vending machines.
--expand time for school recess and physical education.
--use federal incentives to encourage low-income families to buy healthier foods.
--prod food makers to stop targeting children with ads for high-calorie treats on TV and in online video games.
--get more restaurants to print nutrition information on menus.
--do more medical screening for obesity in children.
--improve food labeling.
--provide more behavior counseling to overweight kids.
And here is a few of the websites of already existing programs that Michelle wants you to know about:
First, her video from the whitehouse.gov

And school Nutrition website:

Their are several more websites that are associated with this wonderful subject, at the end of the boston globe article... Oh and I must say, Good luck Michelle for a very worthy cause, and BRAVO!
