Like looking at the stock exchange,in which I have nothing invested anymore, I have been tracking on Zillow the demise of my property. I must say it's a sad situation and if I had a plan to sell it, it would be sadder still
What the hell, and when is going to bottom out. Half the value of it is gone already. I chose to buy it without a mortgage so I consider myself lucky on that end, however, I hear these nightmare stories about people being foreclosed on, even though they have no mortgage or they are up to date on their payments.
This is extremely disconcerting to me that a simple contractor working for the banks, similar to a bounty hunter, can lock your door, take your stuff and cut your electrical and water access in one foul swoop. Because he chose the wrong address. It would be for you to sort out at a later date while living in a cardboard box.
Is there a plan for homeowners that think they are safe and in fact could be the victim of an idiot with a sign and a big lock and bolt cutters?
Am I just being paranoid and are these cases simply flukes and not to be concerned about? Have the banks gone mad with power and think they own everything?
