The Bureau of Alcohol tabacoo and firearms does not have a director. Newsweek ran an article that said Obama wont even nominate one because of his policy of non-confrontation and capitulation to the NRA's every wish. He is not pro gun but he is afraid of being seen as anti-gun. Guns on trains? OK. Guns in parks? OK. Cross state border conceal carry? No comment? Assault Weapons ban? enforce laws on the books-The nra answer? ATF director? No comment.
Some people are like-If he did anything anti-gun he wouldn't have been able to get healthcare through because all rural pro gun democrats would have hated him.
Fifteen months after Barack Obama took office, the White House has yet to nominate a director to run the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Newsweek reports. Acting director Kenneth Melson had to be demoted to deputy director because of a law that limits how long acting chiefs can run federal agencies. This has left ATF without a Senate-confirmed leader at a time of increased cross-border gun violence and mounting concerns about militia activity. "It’s shocking and indefensible," says Kristen Rand of the Violence Policy Center, a gun-control group, "that when you have a huge problem from gun trafficking and gun violence, they have left this agency leaderless."

This fear of Obamas has gone too far!
I wish Obama would nominate someone to lead this important law enforcement organization! The ATF is not about gun grabbing but enfcrcing rules and regulations. The NRA wont let him do this. That is not right. I think he should just do it!
