Conservatives can't help but one up their crazy everyday can they? As has been recently reported, the unintentionally hilarious Conservapedia has decided to rewrite the Bible. Because of the liberal subversives who, throughout history, have been destroying the word of God.
Well it just got sillier.
Andy Schafly, Phyllis' son, runs the website. His new Bible has decided to strike from their history the final moments of Christ on the cross.
The Gospel of Luke records that, as he was dying on the cross, Jesus showed his boundless mercy by praying for his killers this way: "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."
Not so fast, say contributors to the Conservative Bible Project.
The project, an online effort to create a Bible suitable for contemporary conservative sensibilities, claims Jesus' quote is a disputed addition abetted by liberal biblical scholars, even if it appears in some form in almost every translation of the Bible.
Yes. Jesus was too empathetic. Evidently, forgiveness, perhaps the most honorable thing about Christianity is now a sin.
I am not a man of God at all. I do not believe in the Bible. I do not believe in my childhood Catholicism. However, this perverse rewriting of Christian history is absolutely sickening. Their Jesus is downright ridiculous.

Maybe they should recall the words from Revelation.
Revelation 22:18-19
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
It might serve them well.
