Rick Scott, a former health-care industry executive, is a Republican candidate running for Florida's Governorship.
In 1997 he was ousted by his bosses at Columbia Hospital Corporations in the middle of the "nation's biggest health care fraud scandal"---but didn't leave before recieving a hefty severance package.
His campaign has already spent more than 5 million dollars on television and radio ads---basically he is a "man of the people".
Well, Mr. Rick Scott has created a new ad, oddly titled "Obama's Mosque"...
hmmmmm....I wonder if there is some kind of subliminal message here?
Anyways, Upon posting the disgusting, fact-free ad, Mr. Scott made one little mistake. He didn't disable the comment section.
What ensued is hilarity of epic proportions:

I love how Republicans scream, " constitution, constitution, constitution..." until it is something they disagree with, then they are willing to piss everything it stands for out the window.
This should not even be debated in this country. You either believe in "freedom of religion" and the right to "the taking of private property" or you can make everything based on the emotion of 911.
You can't have it both ways. Where is the "Tea Party" on this issue? They should stand up for the Mosque.

What a disgusting piece of crap this guy is.
Does he know that this mosque isn't being built at Ground Zero but 1/2 a mile away. Does he know that it's a violation of the Constitution to prevent the mosque? And what does Obama have to do with it? Does Scott know that the Imam building the mosque was appointed by Pres. Bush as a U.S. diplomat for peace? And does anyone think this clownish hack gives a rat's ass about NYC or the victims of 9/11 (much less our Constitution). What a slimeball.

Isn't a more pertinent question just what the hell any of this has to do with being the Governor of Florida?

Scott, the Truth, it's none of your business what goes on the city of New York, you live in Florida. The Truth, it's none of President Obama's business what the owner of a property in New York does. The Truth, Republicans like you trashed the Constitution for the last Eight Years while you were waving the flag and marching in lock step. The Truth, it's Republicans like you who attacked the wrong country. The Truth, it's Republicans like you who trashed the US economy.
The Truth hurts.

4, 415 US soliders have died in Iraq for what??? To liberate them from Saddam Hussein. And those people are what??? Shia and Sunni Muslims.
Think about that.
So, nearly 5,000 US troops have given their lives so that Iraqi's might have democracy and we're freaking out over US citizens building a mosque???
We are a nation of hysterical ninnies.

It's two blocks away, not "yards." And there's an actual mosque 3 blocks away. So...3 blocks away is okay, but 2 blocks makes you just like the terrorists that murdered 3,000 people - Americans, foreign nationals, Christians, Jews, AND Muslims.
I cannot think of a better way to show that we are NOT like the terrorists by supporting the religious freedom of ALL Americans, by having an area around Ground Zero (so sacred it's still a hole in the ground) with churches, synagogues, and mosque.

Separation of church and state now, and forever!
The best thing about America is our freedom and our rights to live the way we want.
Rick Scott, Sarah Palin and all the 'piss in my pants" Republicans learn this.... America is BIGGER than you and BETTER than you.
Save your religious intolerance for your rich fantasy lives and let the rest of us show the world that we do stand for something more than narrow, meatheaded, nationalistic, fundamentalist, jingoism.
1st Amendment, read it.
As a 17 year old Muslim American this issue saddens me and my family. I, for the life of me cannot understand why this has become such an issue.
As much as I loved Keith Olbermann's Special Comment yesterday---It worries me that he even has to make one on this non-controversy.
Again, this issue saddens me. I have gone to my mosque for years---and I promise you guys, it is probably just as boring as any church that any one else, of any other religion, goes to. We get dress up, listen to our imam, do our prayers, eat and go home.
Mr. Scott should be ashamed of himself. WTF does a mosque in lower Manhattan have to do with Florida?
Nothing.
But I am sure he can make a pretty penny off of it.
Shame on you Mr. Scott. You have been accused of fraud in your past---but it seems all that you are is one giant fraud.
