This is an update on a diary I did the other night in regards to the flooding in Australia. Follow me over the fold for the latest
The body of a missing woman has been found in a swollen river in Queensland's Gulf Country, as floodwaters continue to rise across the state.
The 41-year-old disappeared last night when the car she was travelling in was washed off a causeway at Floraville near Burketown.
Her body was found two kilometres downstream in the Leichardt River.
Authorities are also continuing to search for a 38-year-old man missing in the flooded Boyne River, south of Gladstone, in central Queensland.
Water police, local surf lifesavers, volunteer marine rescue and two helicopter crews are combing the area for the man.
In Rockhampton, authorities have suspended the search for a man feared missing in the Fitzroy River
It doesn't seem like its going to end anytime soon and even when it does it is going to take an extremely long time and a lot of money to clean up.
A lot of people have been affected, at least 200,000 with thousands homeless and numerous towns completely drowned.
Police have rescued at least eight people from cars accross the flooded areas.
St George is on flood watch again, less than a year after an historic flood ravaged the town.
Authorities say it will be next weekend before St George feels the impact of a flood peak moving down the Balonne and Condamine rivers.
The weather bureau predicts water levels will reach 13 metres by Thursday and could go even higher on Saturday.
Mayor Donna Stewart says the local disaster management group has been activated.
Upstream, the flood peak is expected to pass through Surat on Monday night or Tuesday morning at 13 feet.
According to weather experts, there is some relief as they expect only isolated showers today and tomorrow.
