I have to admit I've always been a Jeopardy fan, I try not to miss an episode. So a few months ago, when they started hyping a event in which IBM would enter a computer to compete against Jeopardy's two all time best players, I was counted the days until the episodes would air. Well the wait is over, Watson became the first computer to compete on Jeopardy earlier today, and he didn't run away with it, tied after one round with one of his human counterparts.

Pretty interesting stuff, all told Watson has 2500 processors and could prove to be a big step toward AI. I'm not exactly fearing a Terminator type apocalypse just yet, but the technology could be applied in a number of scientific fields.
Well, like I said, Watson is tied after one round, two more days of the challenge, ya'll should tune in it's kinda history being made.
