I am not a Floridian, but I've spent plenty of time there on business and because I have two children, we've been to Disney World and Universal Studios a number of times.
Additionally, I have a couple of good friends who live in Florida whom I keep in contact with regularly. For that reason, I've paid attention to Gov. Rick Scott and what's been going on there. Ricky Boy has joined a very popular club lately according to Quinnipiac University.
His popularity has plummeted - BIG TIME.
According to Quinnipiac, Fire Marshall Bill's disapproval rating stands at 48 percent.
"The survey showed 48 percent of 1,499 registered voters polled randomly by phone between March 29 and April 4 disapproved of Scott's performance during his first three months in office, compared with 35 percent who said they believed the new Republican governor was doing a good job. The poll's margin of error was plus or minus 2.5 percentage points.
He's joined the likes of GOP governors such as Ohio's John Kasich (my home and fellow backwards assed state) and Wisconsin's Scott Walker. Welcome to the party.
But here's the question I have for Floridians: where were you during the election? Did this thug not tell you what he was going to do? Or did you let your anger over what is going on in Washington D.C. translate into apathy in Florida."
There's an old saying: "All elections are local."
In Florida, Ohio, and Wisconsin folks are beginning to figure that out.
