David Koch owns a freaking idiot in GOP House Rep Mike Pompeo.
As if it wasn't obvious enough that the party of Tax Cuts For The Rich is corrupt as hell and couldn't give a damn about your problems.
Asked by the National Journal yesterday about his reputation as a pawn of the right-wing Koch empire, Pompeo did nothing to dissuade the notion that he’s bought by the company:
NJ: How do you respond to critics who say you’re being influenced by Koch Industries, given its owners’ contributions to your campaign?
POMPEO: What do you think? I’d say [I’ve been] a small-government guy for an awful long time, and I’ll be a small-government guy when the good Lord calls me home. Koch Industries is an amazing business that has succeeded by building a product that customers love dearly. The folks who run Koch are very clear. They would love to have government just get out of the way and allow companies to compete, whether in their particular sectors or other sectors. They are true believers in small government.

Idiot.
This is simply the dumbest answer ever to a charge of being corrupted by special interests.
When someone asks you if you are a wholly owned pawn of Special Interests you are supposed to say no, you are not supposed to beam with pride and extoll the virtues of those corporate saints who own you after saying "What do you think?"
I think you, Rep. Pompeo are a massive corporate stooge. And an idiot.
As unapologetic about being a blatant Corporate tool as you could possibly be.
A lil more below the fold
Instead of trying to refute the claim that he has been corrupted by his No#1 campaign contributor David Koch , or that he is doing David Koch's bidding and putting Koch Industries wishes above the best interests of consumers and citizens in his district, Kansas House Rep Mike Pompeo's answer to the charges that he is a corporate stooge is to say "What do you think?" before he proudly goes off into a speech that sounds like a 1950's commercial for Koch Industries.
This exchange should stand as a modern monument to how absurdly corrupting the American political campaign contribution system is. The fact that a sitting Congressman feels no shame in admitting he is a bought and owned corporate lackey who does not serve the best interests of his constituency should be a shame to all of us who believe that the power in a Democracy should be behind ones vote, not the billions of dollars influencing the system, but the worst part is that not only does Rep. Pompeo feel no shame, not only does Rep. Pompeo proudly promote the billionaire who owns him, he is too stupid to realize that saying it out loud is a bad thing.
So congratulations to Rep. Mike Pompeo for proving once again that the Republican Party couldn't give a flying fuck at all about the needs of working class people, and thank you, Mike Pompeo, for proving in one fell swoop just how corrupted by big money and inherently stupid the modern GOP has become.
But for your answer, I award you no points.
Peace and love to all
