Something non-nonsensical tonight after a big expose last night of whether I should be mad at my daddy or just feel sorry for him.
Tonight I'm talking to the local sassy bird in my nearby tree.
Sometimes we get further in our communications when we rely on the nonverbal rather than the verbal, especially when we try to converse between species.
Read on!
I'm listening to a sassy bird in the tree
And looking around as he is mocking me,
I see the branch bounce and wave in the air
As that bird recites his rights to be there.
"What message do you have little bird?
I don't understand your beep, not a word.
Will you speak more clearly as you go?
Right now your message I just don't know.
"I really would like to be your friend
Cuz' you're so cute and your call won't end.
Give me lessons in bird talk one by one.
With the right tone, it might be darn fun.
"Do you love your baby birdie like we down here?
Believe me, we won't touch it's fine little hair.
Don't be angry at my weird little ways
I'm just me just like you're one of those jays."
The bird chirped back nodding his head.
I just had no idea of a thing he said.
Probably he would also say the same thing.
Ruffling his feathers and folding his wing.
"I say get out of my yard, can't you see my babe's asleep
You're causing me to scold you with my beep beep beep.
You may not know the words coming from my mouth
So what? Little bird must slumber before our trip south."
Verbally I continued to hear not a word I knew,
But I read much more from that birdie in my view.
He wanted me to get the hell out of his domain.
I knew he would peck my head and cause real pain.
So I walked away from that little exchange with bird
Never learning one single ordinary little bird word.
But I did find that birds have rights to respect, too.
They speak with coos, scolds and pecking, just like you!
