From the Republican economic policies are bad for the economy files, there is this little tidbit: The "job creators" are concentrated in Democratic states.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has comprised a "State Entrepreneurial Index", which ranks the states by measuring per capita and percentage growth of businesses, the rate of business formation, per capita patents, and per capita revenue of partnerships and sole proprietorships.
The top five states are New York, Washington, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Oregon. The bottom five are Alabama, Nevada, Mississippi, Arizona, and South Carolina.
I think it is worth noting that Washington and Oregon have the highest and second highest minimum wage in the country.
