In recent months it has become ever more clear to the leaders of my union that what we've been doing - organizing thousands of nurses, fighting for safe patient care, helping to elect better people to public office - is just not enough. The workplace struggle is important, but too limited. Politicians we worked hard to elect have let us down again and again. It's time to reach beyond those conventional channels of struggle and go back to the streets. Thus was borne our Main Street Contract for the American People
This is a nurse-led campaign that will grow into a mass movement for economic justice in America. As one small part of that campaign, we've launched a new video. Watch it below the squiggle.
Did that touch you a bit? If so, spread the word and help others to see it. At that Main Street Campaign link above, you can find a link to tell the story of how the ecomomic crisis and the war on working people has affected you - we're collecting stories. And watch for more. It's time to stand up and fight back.
Here's the Youtube link for that video and others.
