We haven't had one of those community stories in a while. We've had a lot of WYFP stories lately these days which is understandable, given our present circumstances in this economy. However, there are moments of pure happiness that brighten our days, and I'd like to share one of those moments with you from a trip my husband and I took to Seattle for his birthday.
This was what we saw once we sat down at our beautiful table at Ray's Boathouse. We could see fish literally jumping out of the water, people standing on these paddle boards and paddling by, boats passing by in the horizon of the slowly setting sun, and the lights from houses on the mountains surrounding Puget Sound.
We were so happy there, and you know how you get that feeling of euphoria that comes with such a view? That sort of euphoric feeling doesn't come along very often, and we revelled in it, talking about our plans for the future, and the hopes we have. I looked at the ocean, the sunset, and held my husband's hand. I told him I loved him so much, and that I was very lucky to have him in my life.
That one singular moment in Seattle is my happy story to share with you. What's your happy story?
