i'll share this with with the proviso that i cannot "out" those who participated.
in the summer of 1965 los angeles rocked with incredible race riots. i remember driving with my(horrible) stepfather through to go to a baseball game at chavez ravine.
everything was ablaze. to my young mind i had descended into hell.
my father was a cop then.
he shared with me 20 years later that the roadblock he manned on those nights they had no time for paperwork.
when cars came at them and refused to yield they opened fire. then these professionals would drag out the bodies and pitch them into flaming stores. there their corpses were counted up as "folks too dumb" to get out of a burning store.
i stand by this statement as described to me.
kinda dovetails into how nypd is horribly abusing citizens today.
