Thorough out history, mankind has been fighting with each other over who God promised land to. I wonder what the body count is so far. Is this what we came here to do?
For those of us who spent time in the fight against what we perceive as bigotry, at what point does our attempt to bring peace become a part of the conflict?
For those who believe they are fighting against a foreign religious law taking over, at what point do you start to resemble the very thing you are fighting?
At what point can we all look at ourselves and see how absurd we are? Can we snap out of it? Can we come to a common understanding?
Would it be possible for us to look, just for a moment, and see that we have inherited this cycle of cruelty to one another?
These are not questions that I propose to have the answers to. These are questions I struggle with myself. Perhaps you do too. And if you do, perhaps we are not that different after all.
