In the wake of the unbelievably senseless attack on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, it goes without saying that now is not the time to vote on such a contentious issue as repealing the health care bill. Especially since, at last report, Giffords is still in critical condition.
One can only hope that Boehner, Cantor and McCarthy have the decency to postpone the repeal vote at least until Giffords is out of the hospital. But just in case they don't, it's time to ask them just this once to be Americans first and Republicans second.
