I’m going to fight like hell to keep Marcy Kaptur in office. More then anyone, Kaptur has stood by the poor, the working class, students, unions, and inner-city communities. She has been a powerful voice for northern Ohio that we cannot afford to lose. She has been amazing resource to the ninth district and the north coast.
We can’t lose her. Ohio can’t lose her. Our country can’t lose her. But we are in danger of seeing her disappear.
The Republican’s have dreamed about getting rid of Marcy. And by redistricting her congressional district they have come with a plan by connecting her district with Kucinich’s district. They are set to run against each other.
I like Kucinich, but we need Kaptur. We really do. Northern, Ohio needs Marcy. That simple. Our future depends on having a skilled politician who can represent the best interests of our district.
Currently serving her 15th term, Congresswoman Kaptur has the most experience of any woman in the U.S. House of Representatives and ranks 13th in seniority among 435 members.
Marcy ranks second in seniority on the powerful House Appropriations Committee. Northern Ohio needs her support and experience. I’m terrified that we are going to lose one of the longest serving women in Congress who has been a dedicated public servant. This isn’t about not liking Kucinich, but it is about looking at the harsh economic and social future of our region and knowing we are going to need folks in Washington coming up with solid solutions for our communites.
I’ve watch Marcy since she first came to my high-school in Toledo, OH. I’ve seen her at every sort of community event you can imagine. And I’ve witnessed her work with local business and labor to take on our region’s toughest issues. We can’t lose Marcy!
I'm giving funds I don't have.
