The political metrics point toward problems for conservatives, now and in the future. Political metrics are not always reliable, due to world events, scandal, and the natural ebb and flow of the American voter. Having said that:
The next Koch brothers retreat, hopefully, will be from PRISON. It will be hosted by David and Charles Koch, and James and Rupert Murdoch. Scott Walker will be serving cocktails (bad joke). Not helpful, however, to the conservative cause.
The big problem, though, for the GOP is the lack of moderate governors that were elected in 2010. Doug Scott, Paul LePage, Bill Snyder, and Bob McDonnell. NONE of these are viable Presidentail candidates. Bob McDonnell would have been Rick Perry's vice-presidential pick, as per the Koch brothers, were it not for the Niggerhead.....
DEMS PICK UP SEATS IN THE HOUSE AND HOLD THE SENATE AND THE WHITE HOUSE IN 2012....Onward to 2016....
You have like a dozen or so MODERATE Republicans left in politics, some of them governors, some of them in Congress. Traditionally, a Presidential pick holds a governorship.....Bill Haslam is a moderate governor in Tennessee, and there are others across the country....but, on the Democratic side, you have governors like Andrew Cuomo and John Hickenlooper to name a couple.....
Long story short, conservatives screwed themselves for the next 5 or 6 years by moving so far to the right in 2010.....
