I don't understand what Occupy Wall St. is going for. Sure they have their goals. But they are so broad and I see no proposals on how they think we should accomplish them. Financial equality? Or no, financial fairness. How? I'm asking any person who may read this that supports Occupy to enlighten me. How exactly do you propose we fight for the Occupy cause? A war with a cause but no way to accomplish the cause is near as bad as simply a war with no cause at all...
Here are some descriptions of Occupy Wall St.
"Occupy Wall Street is a movement that denounces inequalities in the financial system that they claim favor the wealthy. The group seeks social change to address these inequalities through their activities which include protests, gatherings and commentary on social media, such as Twitter and Facebook." This is thanks to Chris Bowers who just recently used this in one of his publications here on the Daily Kos.
Facebook.com's Occupy Wall St. page states quite eloquently what they are fighting against. But again, what goals do they have to rid us of these problems?
I believe I would be a supporter of Occupy. But so far it looks like they simply won't do anything because they aren't asking for the correct results. Massive change seldom comes through one massive action, instead from many small but signifcant changes all headed towards the same goal.
