A Sheboygan teen plans to challenge the city’s mayor in a potential recall election.
With the recall drive seeking to oust Sheboygan Republican Mayor Bob Ryan in the wake of his latest drinking relapse submitted 4,723 signatures earlier this month, citizens have clearly signaled a desire for change in Sheboygan government.
Last Monday, I filed my Declaration of Candidacy and campaign registration statement to run against Bob Ryan in the event of a recall election because the time to move Sheboygan forward has come.
The City of Sheboygan needs leadership that builds alliances rather than encourging divisiveness. Sheboygan needs leadership that earns respect rather than demanding it. We need leadership that is an inspiration rather than an embarrassment.
The people of Sheboygan have a right to demand that type of leadership and I will restore integrity of the Mayor’s Office as well as accountability and transparency at City Hall. As mayor, I will work tirelessly with area business and community leaders to retain and recruit good paying jobs for our citizens.
I may not always have all the answers or solutions, but I will seek them out. With input and support, I am confident that we can identify problems that resonate throughout Sheboygan and achieve viable solutions for them.
I encourage you to learn more about me and get involved in my campaign for mayor. And if you support my bold leadership to move Sheboygan forward, please consider making a donation because we’re building a grassroots campaign to make City Hall work for you. Your voice and your advocacy is what’s going to make the difference.
I would also encourage the Daily Kos community to consider making a special donation of $5 to support my grassroots mayoral campaign. As you know in order to run a successful grassroots campaign to move Sheboygan forward, I will need your support. Start-up money is a big part of every new campaign. I am running a citywide race for the Office of Mayor and it’s very important to have the resources to spread my positive message
