Abdullah el-Senussi, former head of internal security under Muammar Gaddafi, his brother-in-law. Captured by NTC forces in the desert town of Sabha hundreds of miles south of Tripoli.

While el-Senussi, like Saif al Islam Gaddafi an indicted war criminal, has had his crimes against the people of Libya extensively documented over the course of this year, it cannot be overlooked his decades-long career as the true planner and facilitator of Gaddafi's terrorist war againt the United States.
If Muammar Gaddafi was the Osama Bin Laden of the 1980s, then El-Senussi was the Khalid Sheikh Mohammed of the 80s. The coldblooded enforcer carrying out the orders of his maniacal boss with brutal precision.
As head of Libyan Intelligence External Operations in the 1980s, Senussi took the lead in coordinating Libyan support and direction of terrorist groups in Europe and the Middle East.
-Supplying money and weapons to the terrorists who attacked the Rome and Vienna airports in 1985, killing 18 people and maiming over 100.
-Personally ordering the murder of American hostage Peter Kilburn in Beirut in retaliation for the 1986 bombing raids on Libya.
-Ordering Palestinian terrorist Abu Nidal to hijack an American jetliner later in 1986...resulting in the lethal hijacking of Pan Am Flight 73 leaving 20 people dead including Americans.
-Recruiting the Lockerbie bomber al-Megrahi to murder 270 people, including 190 Americans...the worst terror attack on American civilians other than 9/11.
-Al-Senussi has been TRIED AND CONVICTED in absentia in France for ordering the bombing of UTA Flight 772 over Niger in 1989, which killed 171 people including 8 Americans, among them the wife of the American Ambassador to Chad.
And scores of other terrorist crimes large and small during that decade. More recently in 2004 he was connected to a plot to assassinate then Crown Prince now King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia.
With his capture, and yesterday's arrest of Saif al Islam, the last major figures of the Gaddafi regime have been accounted for. This is a feat we cannot even claim for Iraq as high-level Baathists have remained fugitives...including Saddam's own version of Senussi in Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri. And a feat we certainly can't claim of the Taliban regime, as Mullah Omar and most of the Quetta Shura Council remain at large.
Militarily, our intervention in Libya can now be classified as a total and complete victory. And incidental to our victory we have at once secured dangerous undeclared chemical weapons, and brought to justice terrorists who have eluded us for decades.
Now it is up to the Libyan people to build a just and democratic country, that uses its civil institutions and vast resources to benefit all its people instead of lavishing luxury upon a ruling class.
Chalk another one up for the good guys, and another entry on Barack Obama's collection of dead/captured terrorists that would give Jack Bauer a 24-hour boner.
