Thanks to badscience for that commentary ("Ohferchrissakes") on what's happening here in Wisconsin.
You know, I'm getting really tired of seeing Wisconsin in the rec list all the time. I'd like to go back to the days when life was boring, when all I had to worry about was whether I had enough quarters on hand for a good game of sheepshead with my brothers.
But things have gone crazy, even in my fair city, and we have to put away those thoughts of schneider, liester and mauer for now, 'cuz we've got a rogue governor to recall. We need to do what we need to do.
There has been another recall assault in my fair city. Details below the cheese squiggle.
River Falls woman arrested for spitting on recall worker in Wisconsin
A 32-year-old River Falls, Wis., woman was arrested over the weekend after allegedly spitting on a woman working to recall Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.
(River Falls Police Chief) Leque said police were called out to the 600 block of North Main Street in River Falls at about 1 p.m. by workers collecting recall signatures. They reported that a woman - later identified as Thompson - stopped her vehicle, approached them and began swearing, Leque said.
Thompson reportedly tipped over a table used to collect signatures, threw it towards the street and spat at one of the workers, Leque said.
Nice. How polite. Tipping over a table and throwing it into the street? But she was just taking the law into her own hands, because
The responding officer later learned that Thompson had called police to complain about the signature collectors
At least our police know that people exerting their rights under our state Constitution is not an offense. Too bad the Walkerites don't know that.
Scotty? You picked on a weak hand. You won't make schneider.
