At the end of the great recession, nineteen months ago, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Services reported a total number of jobs in the United States at 132 million jobs.
the total number of jobs since the END of the recession has declined by 1.1 million jobs.
the first time that the U.S. began having 130.9 million people employed in this country was in 1999.
since 1999 the u.s. population has grown by over 34 million people.
