As some of you know I have written a few diaries about my mom, Cheryl Hancock, who is running for the 94th District Assembly seat in Wisconsin. The primary is coming on Tuesday so I wanted to send an update.
I also wanted to post a link to a great meeting with the Holmen School Board (which Cheryl is a member of) and Senator Dan Kapanke.
More below the fold.
Here is the link to the School Board meeting. It is long, with multiple segments but definitely worth watching. It will give you an insight to Senator Dan Kapanke who didn't really have any good answers. In fact it was hilarious to watch him try to dance around the issues. To this day he still says he is proud of his vote. That is why they were able to turn in more than enough signatures to recall in half the time needed!

On another note I have to say how proud of my mom I am. She is likes to back up her words with action. For example she is strongly pro union and has been her whole life. She is not jumping on the bandwagon. All of her campaign materials are printed by unions, and they always have been. This means added expense and a 4 hour round trip everytime she has something printed, but that is the way she rolls. Her opponent can't say that. Keep looking for that union bug on mailers if you want to know who truely supports the unions!
Another big GOTV push this weekend, but that's nothing new. Cheryl has been knocking on doors since the day she announced. It's odd to say but that is honestly her favorite thing about running. You don't hear that from many candidates. I will be phone banking from Colorado, it's the least I can do. My 3 year old shouldn't mind...:)
If you know anyone in the 94th District in Wisconsin spread the word! Cheryl Hancock will be a great representative!

The election is tomorrow in Wisconsin. PLEASE VOTE. I also just wanted to say I am so proud of my mom. She is truly a remarkable woman and I am so glad my daughter has her as a role model. Good Luck tomorrow and once again thank you!
