Obama Seeks to Win Back Wall St. Cash
Finally! What a great headline!. Obama is finally in campaign mode and going after Wall St to win back the trillion$ of dollars that Wall St. stole from the American public via investment and real estate scams. Just winning back the $2T in "loans" and tax breaks provided to Wall St to survive the Great Recession would be great. Especially since Wall St. has recovered so well with Wall St banks and brokerages earning record profits with the Wall St. insurance industry in particular stashing billions mostly from the tax it imposes on people needing health care.
But wait a minute...it's not about justice, restitution, sane financial regulation at all. It's about Obama seeking millions of dollars in bribes from Wall St's wealthy criminal class for Obama's re-election.
WASHINGTON — A few weeks before announcing his re-election campaign, President Obama convened two dozen Wall Street executives, many of them longtime donors, in the White House’s Blue Room. The event, organized by the Democratic National Committee, kicked off an aggressive push by Mr. Obama to win back the allegiance of one of his most vital sources of campaign cash — in part by trying to convince Wall Street that his policies, far from undercutting the investor class, have helped bring banks and financial markets back to health.
Seems dumb of Obama as Wall St will always get a better deal from the GOP so whatever cash they give him will be minimal, just insurance money in case Obama gets re-elected and GOP Congress can't keep him in line. Most of the Wall St criminal class money is going to GOP by the truckload.
And of course, Wall St gives nothing away, the will require that Obama keep to his current pro-Wall St, anti-Main St policies that have seen Wall St recover and profit from the Great Recession while Wall St's victims, the 14 million still unemployed American's with their retirement savings gone and their homes foreclosed or lost so much in value as to be worthless.
Oh well...so we'll have Obama doing his Reagan imitation vs. Mitt Romney doing his Bush imitation for choices in 2012.
