If the US Government was a family, they would be making $58,000 a year, they spend $75,000 a year, & are $327,000 in credit card debt. They are currently proposing BIG spending cuts to reduce their spending to $72,000 a year. See, the facebook status goes, why do people hate the teabags so much. They just want to cut spending.
If you google this, this little nugget is on EVERY major right-wing blog and I've gotten it from two people on facebook. It ticked me off.
If you are going to reduce spending, you prioritize. You don't cut the baby's milk or education for your disabled son. But then I remembered Jon Stewart's AWESOME analogy two months ago. So this is how I responded:
