Gotta start working for victory. At present, I don't feel I'm able, in good conscience, to vote for Obama or give him any money (I definitely won't be giving my vote to the Repub candidate either - duh), but I will be working for a Democratic congress and I will be giving money to Democratic congressional candidates. My alien eye insists I do even more. So each week or two until the election, I'll be writing ads for Democrats, a free resource for choices on how to attack the Republicans. Whether it's useful or not, I don't know. At least it will make me feel like I'm contributing.

[expanded version continues]
Every single major economic or government crisis of the past few years can be traced DIRECTLY to either Republican inaction, Republicans changing the rules, Republicans refusing to enforce the rules, or Republicans altering the rules of the game. They want chaos. They want crisis.
....banking crisis....
Republicans in Congress weaken banking regulations...
President Bush refuses to enforce banking regulations....
....the debt crisis....
Republicans hold the government hostage over an imaginary debt crisis....
....the jobs crisis....
Republicans block job creation and government aid to the unemployed...
....the Social Security crisis....
Republicans want to dismantle Social Security, foment lies about the program....
....the Medicare crisis....
Republicans want to end Medicare....
....the postal crisis....
Republican-enacted laws crippled the Postal Service....
Want peace? Want stability?
VOTE DEMOCRATIC
[My reasoning: keep it short and to the point. If Republicans challenge the ad, which they'd be fools to do, bring out all the evidence. So hope they'll have a hissy fit over the ad, which will start a brawl only the Democratic candidate can win. And if they don't answer back, send people to public events to demand the facts. This could lead into an entire series of ads listing the evidence for Republican crisis-making. The ad also has the added benefit of weakening the corporate and business support for Repubs, since businesses, most businesses, like a stable environment in which to do business. Lastly, the Democratic candidate using this ad should prep himself to answer every point the ad brings up - not a hard task for anyone of normal intelligence.]
