Let's face it, they're all one-term material.....
I fully support President Obama and expect him to win in 2012, probably now more than ever....
After watching Thursday's debates :
Mitt Romney would be the safe choice. Probably be another HW Bush...he's no Barack Obama, but wouldn't send the economy over the cliff again. Just not a lot of charisma there....
Chris Christie is a cheesesteak eating, Jersey, slob, smart-aleck....again probably wouldn't run us off a cliff...No depth to his thinking, though...
Rick Perry would be dangerous...I wonder why conservatives LOVE the most dangerous, reckless, and let's face it, dumb candidates....It's like they're not voting with their brains at all.....Just out of hate and anger...and to talk about destroying Social Security and seceding from the Union is extreme..!!
Furthermore, he and Bob McDonnell partied it up with the Koch brothers. That's what scares me most....The economy is fragile, and to try some kind of fascist or plutocratic takeover seems like it would be VERY DANGEROUS. There is no empirical economic evidence that it would work..!! In fact, October 2008 would suggest quite the opposite. The rational probability is that it would push us over the cliff in a hurry..!!!
Not only that, suppose Rick Perry implements some kind of RADICAL policy as he did more than once in Texas and the American people HATE it....America is not like Texas (thank God)..They'll take to the streets and DOWN WILL GO THE ECONOMY, JUST LIKE IN GREECE...
In closing, I have a hundred more reasons to support progressives, but I try to work on different perspectives and this seemed like a good one. I hate it for the TBAGS..but they are extreme, radical, and downright gross..Many of them HAVE NO BACKGROUND IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION..It's just weird that people would vote them in.
