We are NOT alone. Check this bit of news out.
Glasgow! Houston, Seattle, Chicago, Nashville, Potland, Oklahoma City, Detroit, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Youngstown, Denver, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Fransisco ALL are organizing similar #OccupyWallStreet protests in solidarity with one another. And we did it without corporate backing or millionaire funding.
I mean Glasgow! Just wow.
And why?
Hey, remember that time Bank of America cut 30,000 jobs last week? You remember, they had the thing with the forged foreclosure fraud that the NY State Attorney General was investigating in an ongoing kind of way? Remember that? I do. Remember that time taxpayers bailed out your sorry asses and then you gave yourselves bonuses while spending record amounts on lobbying Congress? I do. I don't forget. Reason #3421 I've come up with so far for why I am protesting Wall Street.
Today, on Day 10, we will be setting up a conference table near the corner at Zuccotti Park, where there will be nameplates set for the top executives at the Too Big To Fail banks. There, we have invited these "job creators" to come on down and talk to us. Imagine something like a People's House Oversight hearing.
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Bank of America said Monday that it plans to eliminate 30,000 jobs as part of a plan to save $5 billion.
The announcement came after Chief Executive Brian Moynihan outlined the bank's strategy at an investor conference in New York.
It wasn't enough making record profits bonuses this year and paying ever increasing Executive salaries to themselves (and mind you, boo hoo, maybe they should pay some executives less so they can retain people) Bank of America is going to cut 30,000 people so CEO Brian Moynihan can give himself a bigger bonus. Economists like to say that as productivity goes up, so do wages. Well, that's bullshit. Wages don't go up with productivity without labor rights and collective bargaining, which is EXACTLY what the #OccupyWallStreet protests are, an act of collective bargaining. Just look at us as one big union.
More below the fold
I'm in a rush to get back down to the protests. I feel as though whenever I am not there that I am missing out on something.
Despite the general corporate media blackout we are still gaining strength and creating awareness. Despite the threat of arrest and police brutality we keep coming back, stronger and more prepared than before. Look at the teabaggers and Rush Limbaugh. That is what Authoritarianism looks like. This is what Democracy looks like.
No one said this would be easy, but nothing easy is ever worth a damn.
So I'm going back down, and I realize I am part of something bigger than myself. Persevere, dear friends. The whole world is watching, and America is taking notice.
Peace and love to one and all.
If you'd like to help out . . .
1. Get this message out there. Can we do it? YES WE CAN!
2. Use the twitter hashtags #OccupyWallStreet an follow on facebook and twitter accounts related to the ongoing protests. Help put this video on your facebook pageand any other social media that you use. Make it viral.
3. Make a donation to WeAreTheOther99%'s media fund. They need funding to stay active, and without huge corporate interests backing us up like the Teabaggers have, the only way this works is with your small donations.
4. Go to OccupyWallSt.org and make a donation to our General Fund to support the ongoing protests.
5. Get the word out about these protests of Wall Street's greed to everyone you know. Raise awareness, even if it is via word of mouth, every little bit helps.

1:31 PM PT: UPDATE: I was just interviewed by Fox News. Greta Van Sustren's team. It was brutal. I showed no mercy. I have video but will recap before posting.
They asked me if the violent protests in Greece inspired this and how I think it will end. I called them out on their loaded question and thanked them for giving #OccupyWallStreet the same coverage they have given the News Corporation phone hacking scandal. I reminded them that Fox is a Republican propaganda machine and that when Glenn Beck called Obama a racist who hates white people and white culture they let him keep his job. I told them the real class war is when the rich rob the poor, and my special message for Greta was to stop distracting us with birth certificates and Soylandra and stop lying to the American public. I doubt they air my interview.
Several Kossacks were interviewed by the media, we are well represented and ready for the press. Spirits a high, the crowds are big and the media is here, so we know people are paying attention. I will try to update again soon with video and more, and again, I thank you for your support.
