For the past several years, NY Times writer David Brooks has always tinkers on the edge of extremism Today's article clearly shows, he has crossed the line of decency and needs to be classified as a "full fledged extremist!

For the past several articles, David Brooks has tried to paint Rick Sanatorum as a viable candidate with ideas and a philosophy worthy of intelligent discussion Please allow me to include the following excerpts.
But having said all that, I’m delighted that Sanatorium is making a splash in this presidential campaign. He is far closer to developing a new 21st-century philosophy of government than most
leaders out there.
This is a candidate who brought his "still born daughter" home to his family to see. In other words, he brought a "corpse"home for his wife and children to touch and pray. In my world, this behavior is called "pathological" and anyone who would engage in such actions would have no legitimacy with the community at large.
Rick Sanatorium has compared Homosexuality to Bestiality! He has reiterated to most vile and disposable stereotypes of African Americans and welfare. In spite of these statements, Mr Brooks implies Rick Sanatorium is an advocates of communities
Communities breed character. Sanatorum argues that government cannot be agnostic about the character of its citizens because the less disciplined the people are, the more government must step in to provide order.
We need to ask Mr. Brooks who makes up these communities. It seems to me that African Americans and Homosexuals have no place in them. What I find disturbing is Mr Brooks is Jewish! As a former Catholic married to a Jew,I find it very bizarre that Mr Brooks would embrace a political cultural philosophy embraced by Anti Semites like Henry Ford and Ezra Pound..
David Brooks speaks to Rick Sanatorum's Catholic philosophy and introduces a concept way out of the mainstream of Catholic philosophy
His political philosophy is built around the Catholic concept of subsidiarity — that everything should be done at the lowest possible level. That produces a limited role for Washington, but still an important one
As someone who has 12 years of Catholic Education (I still remember memorizing quotes from the Baltimore Catechism, I never heard o such a philosophy. What I do remember is nouns and priests who, while being staunch anti communists, decried Capitalism as a lesser evil but an evil none- the -less; and reiterated the need for Labor Unions and an activist Federal Govt to keep some sense of justice and equality. I remember nouns who sang Mahalia Jackson songs and marched with Dr. Martin Luther King. None While I take issue with many of their teachings i respected others. and I believe that none on these educators and theologians would have the comfort level Mr. Brooks has with Rick Santorum.
I can go on and on but let me try to conclude that I find Mr.Brooks editorial disturbing. He, is presented as an intellectual, well read. and informed. The fact that he uses his position in the "so-called' liberal NY Times to legitimize an extremist like Rick Santorum, calls into question the integrity of the NY Times and Mr. Brooks experience and legitimacy as a Journalist. This article belongs on Glen Beck's web site not a respected newspaper.
I am writing the NY Times and I call others to do the same.
