Yes, Patricia Heaton from the hit ABC comedy, "The Middle" apologizes to Sandra Fluke for her verbal viagra tirade on twitter:
Hey G-Town Gal: turn your underwear inside out! Then u only have to do laundry every 2 weeks - saves on detergent & trips to laundromat!
Hey G-Town Gal! If your parents have to pay for your birth control, maybe they should get a say in who u sleep with! Instant birth control!
This coming from the Emmy Award winning actress from "Everybody Loves Raymond".
Ms. Heaton should be ashamed of herself.
Ms. Heaton eventually ended up deleting her twitter account after this tirade (but many captured her whole rant), however she ended up reinstating the account today with a tepid apology to Ms. Fluke:
"Tweatons: Finally heard all the commentary. I crossed the line w/@SandraFluke. Don't agree w/her views, but I was not showing Christ's love."
and
"I apologized to Ms Fluke last week. I may not agree with her views but I didn't treat her with respect and I'm sorry. I was wrong. Mea Culpa"
What I don't understand is this, for Ms. Heaton to be a woman with four boys, you mean to tell me she does not understand the meaning of contraception? Yet alone, did she listen to the full testimony of Ms. Fluke which was NOT ABOUT SEX? Is she that much a puppet on the Limbaugh string that she can not think for herself?
While I am sure ABC management got wind of her tirade and pressure was put on her to remove the account and reappear with an apology, it's just not good enough. She knows better.
Lastly, I am tired of many who put their foots in their mouths, come back to apologize and bring "Christ's Teachings" into their mess. If you were really a Christian, Ms. Heaton, you would never have gone there in the first place.
