I'm sorry about ditching last night. I just really really really needed to relax & decompress with my dearly beloved after a horribly $hitacular day at work. I'm still angry but not shaking crazy angry like I was yesterday.
Maybe, some SPARK will lighten my mood slightly. I usually eat ice cream entirely too quickly to be having time to do this to it! This just might be another reason for these new draconian ultrasound laws. Real Mommy parts are scary enough! Finally, today's BRILLIANT criminal needs a refresher on cell phone etiquette.
On with The Rachel Maddow Show!
[Both tonight's & tomorrow night's TRMS diaries will kind of be post - and - dash affairs because I have to be at work insanely early - just what I need for a workplace I'm despising these days. *&^%$#@!]
"Sketchy" - And, Rachel's leading off with Etchasketch. ;D We get some Etchasketch history! I could never draw anything other than steps. They used to be manufactured in union factories until they were outsourced to China. There is a Bain Capitol connection to Etchasketch?! HA!! That is just TOO RICH. There are Man on Dog & Newtie with their Etchasketches today. Seriously, is the guy who said that this morning gonna keep his job in the campaign?! Mittens has said he likes to fire people! There are already some great Dem ads featuring Etchasketch. :) Rachel thinks this fubar, especially, is a big sparkin' deal. While this $hit furthers the memo that Mittens is damn dumb, it probably won't cost him the nomination because it's too late, he's got too many delegates, and he's got the coin & the staff to get the rest that he needs. HOWEVER, Rachel thinks this comment could bite him in his Etchasketchy behind in the general election because Mittens tends to be a sparkin' liar liar pants on fire. She then reviewed a lot of the Mittens fibs, and there are A LOT to go through. Rachel also thinks Mittens amount of fibs are WAY above & beyond "typical" political fibbing; it sounds damn normal to me. She's really shocked at the amount of bull$hit! Again, it sounds pretty typical to me, but I tend to be the cynical type.
"Breaking News: ID Forced Ultrasound Bill Likely Dead" - Hey! There's a victory on the XX side of the "war on women!" Women in ID demonstrated in large numbers against the horrid bill. GOBP Governators & state legislators are beginning to slightly back off on some of their more hateful legislations. NH voted against appealing marriage equality by a BIG margin! OK!! :D Doctors would've been forced to tell women that abortions cause breast cancer, too. Good sparkin' grief... The anti - abortion bill potentially revealing doctors who do abortions in TN might get a major redo, also! Gee, ya' think the Virginia experience has left a bad taste in folks' mouths?! Chris Hayes is in studio to talk "I am woman; hear me roar!" :) Dirty stinkin' libruls might - JUST MIGHT - be winning the "culture war." There is only 1 abortion provider in Mississippi; I am not surprised. All this ilk might be forcing "the center" more to "the right." Social media has made trying to slip this ilk through the cracks more difficult. :)
{Rachel spent some time plugging her book; her Daily Kos diarist should get a free copy. :)}
"The Interview" - State Dem Senator Wendy Davis of TX's office was fire - bombed yesterday. Ah...Texas... She's been making quite the national hay about Governator Secession. Low income women in TX basically cannot get health care now. She was a single teen - aged Mom. She's still making public appearances to demonstrate she's not been cowered by what happened. And, here she is! She doesn't sound like a "native Texan." ;)
"On Dangerous Ground" - Rachel's using this segment to examine the horrible death of Trayvon Martin. A law in FL lets people shoot others in public places if they feel like their lives are in danger; me thinks that's the rationale being used in Trayvon's death. And, I bet the NRA just LOVES IT. *&^%$#@! FL was the only state at the time (2005) that had such a law. Just guess who was Governator at the time? Yep...GWB's baby brother... He's in the news for his "endorsement" of Mittens AND this horrid "Stand Your Ground" law. OWS had a march in sympathy for Trayvon Martin & his family. Now, reps in FL wants that law gone or changed yesterday - including the "gentleman" who sponsored the mother in the first place.
How 'bout them Secret Service dudes helping the baby duckies onto the White House lawn?? :D
